Please join us for the Human Rights Lecture as we celebrate the work of Cree Indigenous activist Na’kuset, co-founder of Resilience Montreal and Executive Director of the Native Women’s Shelter of Montréal, among many other achievements and distinctions.

A survivor of the Sixties Scoop, Na’kuset was adopted and raised by a Jewish family in Montreal before reclaiming her Indigenous identity and status as a young adult. Na’kuset will discuss her extensive work in human rights and advocacy for Indigenous peoples in a talk entitled Advocacy in Action: A Journey of Indigenous Resistance.

We will also be honouring the winners of the Lord Reading Society Human Rights Essay Contest! Read our current newsletter to find out who they are!
