Your membership will be valid from September 2024 through August 2025. Please note that Junior members (who pay $85 for membership) are considered less than 5 years at the Barreau. If you are exempt, please choose “Exempt” from the Membership type and you will pay no fees, but we ask that you fill out the form so we have your current information. Please note that several traditional categories of Exempt members (50 years at the Bar, 75+ years old, and retired lawyers) were eliminated recently and are now simply Senior Members; you can find the remaining types of Exempt members below.

Students at law school or the Barreau who wish to become members should fill out this form.

Please note that Junior Members are those that have been admitted to the Barreau or Chambre des notaires in the last five years. Exempt Members are judges and retired judges, first-year lawyers, and stagiaires.
