On the occasion of the Alan B. Gold Advocacy Lecture, the Society is delighted to welcome Joseph Groia, principal of Groia & Company. Mr. Groia is a renowned litigator, who acts as counsel in a wide range of civil, quasi-criminal, criminal, and administrative cases.

Joe will recount his journey from successfully defending his client at a Bre-X Minerals trial to being exonerated by the Supreme Court of Canada after the Law Society of Ontario sanctioned him for his courtroom tactics.
