The Society is delighted to welcome Adam Liptak, Supreme Court reporter for the New York Times. Mr. Liptak will explore a court in transition after the death of the leader of its liberal wing, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  Liptak will also discuss Chief Justice John Robert’s unusual role as both the court’s leader and its ideological fulcrum, a phenomenon last seen in 1937.  He will touch on some of the court’s recent and coming cases, and he will consider proposals for reform, drawing on the experiences of constitutional courts around the world.

Please note that this talk will proceed via Zoom video conference. The conference is free of Lord Reading members, and $25 for non-members. You can become a member on our website here.
